Terms and Conditions

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.
Private Lesson Policy Agreement
This agreement contains important information you need to know before registering. Please read it carefully before submitting.
All email communication regarding music lessons must go to [email protected] We do not accept lesson related emails to any of our other email accounts.
REGULAR PRIVATE STUDENT DEFINITION AND PRIVILEGES
A Regular Private Student is a student who has a 45-minute time slot reserved for a specific day and time each week.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS
A Regular Private Student is only fully registered once the following materials are submitted:
1. Accepted the Terms and Conditions
2. Paid Registration Fee
3. Credit card payment or PayPal
a) I. Credit card number + billing address for our automated payment terminal
II. The first term can be paid by e-transfer, debit or cash but the remaining terms will be averaged out and charged within 1 week in advance before the upcoming lessons (i.e. If your class (Monthly Plan) starts on the 20th day of each month, you have to renew the class on the 13th day of each month.).
Note: Music lessons are exempt from HST.
A $25 fee will be charged for all NSF cheques. A student is not able to continue with lessons unless all outstanding fees are fully paid.
MISSED LESSONS AND MAKEUP POLICY (LESS THAN 24 HOURS’ NOTICE)
Students cancelling lessons with less than 24 hours notice loss the lesson time and lessons will not be made up. All student illnesses are subject to Iman Music Studio’s 24 hours’ notice policy.
MISSED LESSONS AND MAKEUP POLICY (MORE THAN 24 HOURS’ NOTICE)
Regular Private Students can receive 2 makeup lessons in total every six months that an email has been sent to [email protected] with more than 24 hours’ notice. No phone calls or in-person cancellations will be accepted. If a makeup lesson is not possible, the fee for the lesson will not be refunded. If a student misses or cancels a scheduled makeup lesson, another one will not be scheduled.
REGULAR STUDENT WITHDRAWAL FROM PRIVATE LESSONS (8 LESSONS NOTICE)
At least eight lessons’s written notice via email to [email protected] is required if a student decides to terminate lessons for any reason. If a student must withdraw from lessons, they will forfeit a fee equal to eight lessons plus the registration fee from the date of written notice. This rule also applies if you have requested to have your scheduled day & time held over the summer break or holidays and later decide to cancel. Iman Music Studio will refund any remaining tuition beyond the eight weeks. All makeup lessons must be made up by this time or the lessons will be forfeit. Refunds will be completed within 3 weeks of the student’s last lesson date.
STUDENTS ARRIVING LATE
No lesson time will be made up if a student arrives late for a lesson.
In the event, the teacher is ill, absent or unavailable, the student will receive a makeup lesson for each lesson a teacher is away.

STUDENTS ARRIVING LATE

CASUAL PRIVATE STUDENT DEFINITION AND LIMITATIONS
A Casual Private Student is a student who only wants an occasional lesson or is unable to commit to a weekly lesson on the same day and time. Lessons are booked with a specific instructor based on that instructor’s availability on a week to week basis. A Casual Student Lesson time is guaranteed if it is booked with a minimum of one week notice.
CASUAL STUDENT REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

2. The required fee for the individual lesson or lesson package. Fees must be paid 48 hours in advance of the lesson in order to confirm the time slot.
CASUAL STUDENT MAKEUP LESSONS
Any casual lesson booked will not be made up if cancelled.

You understand and agree that staff members and independent contractors working for Iman Music Studio may record videos or take pictures of your musical activities for promotional purposes on social media or print advertising at any time.
The Service and its original content, features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Iman Music Studio and its licensors.

Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Iman Music Studio.
Iman Music Studio has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Iman Music Studio shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.
We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party web sites or services that you visit.
We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
